but that was just this weekend. I did get some sewing done before we went out to dinner with oldest son and his wife and then they followed us to Kalamazoo for a performance by Jeanne Robertson, a humorist ( not a comedienne).
Only three pics to show... the first one being the backing fabric I bought for the Chubby Chicks quilt.
and this is what I worked on both yesterday and today... I had everything done yesterday except for the stitching around the letters and the bases of the light bulbs so that's what I did today. That tree was a real pain... I just could not get it to look like the pattern; I kept playing with it and playing with it, moving pieces this way and that... finally got it to look like this and I declared "Close Enough".
Tonight, after I finished the BOM above, I remembered that I wanted to do an angel block for the quilt the guild is making to go under the tree we'll decorate for the annual Festive of Trees this year. I'm not sure if I like it or not... I used Angelina fibers in silver for the wings and I like it, but between the Angelina and the paperback fusible, those parts of the block are a little heavy and kind of stiff.
Ok, almost bedtime...
take care...
