I'm falling in love with this Hot Tamale quilt .. it's not perfectly quilted but 'better done than perfect' and that's close enough for me. I was determined that I would accept my stitching for what it is; that I would not be taking out stitches just because they were a little wonky and didn't go where I intended.
All of the stitching on the blocks is done.... LOVE running my hands over them and feeling the texture.... now, I have to decide how to quilt the sashing... IF I'm going to quilt it. "you need a place to rest the eyes" keeps going through my head... the sashing could be that place, BUT will it 'poof' and look bad after it's been washed a time or two? I'm in a dither here.... I did audition ( on clear plastic) some quilting I could do in the sashing, ribbon candy and wishbones, but didn't really care for either one.
maybe if I do each sashing strip by itself instead of treating them like one strip....
There's still time.... maybe I"ll find something else.
Today, it's 'clean out the shed' day... we have a man coming tomorrow to demolish and haul the shed away... it's GOT TO GO. so I probably won't be doing any sewing/quilting for the rest of today.
take care.....
ttyl........
