As the cold eased up, I got back into my sewing room and decided to do a little cleaning and reorganizing... you can't tell it now, but I did do it. Cleaned off the table next to my machine, but then stacked BOM projects along with "WannaDos" right back on it. At least now, I have a better idea of where the BOMs are when I get back to working on them this weekend.
With our guild's quilt show coming up in about three weeks, I entered four projects. One of them is a charity quilt that isn't quite done.... ok, it was far from done when I submitted the entry - meaning that the top wasn't even completed. Dale, the wonderful gal who co-ordinates the show, sent me a message earlier this week asking for the dimensions for the quilt so that she could figure out where to place it. I replied back that I didn't have them at the time but would try to get them before this week's meeting.

I informed hubby that I HAD to get this top finished and on Tuesday afternoon, into my room I went... worked for about six hours. Back in I went yesterday and started sewing the rows together and then adding borders... thought "AHA", now I can get the dimensions to Dale - and messaged them off to her with the warning that my math might be off - and a few minutes later realized that it was, but I think by only a couple of inches. ( When doing my math, I added in the measurements for yet to be added borders and didn't notice that a couple of borders had already been added when I measured the top - it's complicated, sorry).
Then, last night, as I pinned the still in progress, but seeing the light at the end of the tunnel top... I noticed the unthinkable - the bottom two rows are UPSIDE DOWN. Part of my 'fun' earlier had been removing strips that I had sewn the triangle onto the wrong way ; got them straightened out, then noticed that one of the blocks has it's strings going in the wrong direction - well, I'm not taking that one out!... Now, I have to remove the bottom two rows and flip them around - at least I can do it as one piece - that's a blessing. I just couldn't do it last night - shoulder blades were hurting and I had to call it a night ( besides Alaskan Bush People was on tv and I didn't want to miss it)

Tomorrow morning, I have to do a bit of tidying up around the house before service guy comes to check out our non working for some reason water softener. He was supposed to come last Thursday but since I wasn't feeling good, we postponed it. Once he gets it running again, I've got heaps of laundry and dishes to do but still plan on getting some sewing time in... I'm behind on my BOMs ( as in I didn't do last month's) and NEED to get caught up.
Off to get close and personal with my seam ripper.
