There's still a mistake, but fixing it would have required ripping out more than one seam and I was at the point where "done is good enough".
Here's the pattern info if anyone else wants to try it. It's easy enough that most people could do it in one day.
Then it was on to this table runner...the top was finished in 2019 so it's had plenty of time to 'age'. The binding was cut sometime after the top was made, but not sure when. It really makes no difference...it's short no matter when it was made.
I couldn't find any more of the same fabric, so ended up with something close enough.
And here's what I worked on today... my #1 block for the new fatcat patterns project. Since the #2 block will be released next week, I figured I'd better get on it.
I also pieced batting and backing for another small table runner that was hanging on my "waiting to be quilted" rack.
Not the best photo, but hopefully once it's quilted, I'll be able to get a better one. Like the previous tablerunner, I'll quilt it on my domestic.
And, while doing all of this, I have also been going through some of my scraps and cutting 2 1/2" squares for a future project.. I think it calls for over 300 squares. I've certainly got the fabric scraps to do it, no question about that.
Well, past time for me to put my leg up and wrap it in ice pack...and Buddy is whining that it's bedtime...silly dog.
Take care
Stay safe and warm
Dang! You've been busy! I like the quilt, mistake it not. The birdhouses are cute, too, as are all her patterns, but I know better than to start any - I'll never get them done! I heard at the meeting last night you're not rejoining the guild...I knew you'd been thinking about it but had hoped you would stay. But I understand. I did rejoin, but have no plans to be terribly involved. Lots of changes that I don't feel are all for the better, but I suppose if I'm not going to step in and volunteer to do otherwise, I need to roll with it. We should all still do lunches sometimes, though!
ReplyDeleteI don't like some of the changes either which is why I didn't re-join. I will continue to go to the sew ins as long as they'll let me (I think the old rule was three times then you were expected to join -- we'll see
ReplyDeleteif that still applies. We're still doing the lunches, just haven't done one since before Christmas. We're way overdue.
