This qualifies as an old project because it's been sitting around in the UFO status for probably at least a year.
The pattern makes a 79.5" x 79.5" quilt, but I originally only wanted to make 16 blocks...when I took the background blocks out of the storage container, there were only 9. I can deal with that; 14" blocks set 3 x3.. add sashing and borders & it will make a nice crib or lap quilt.
The first block (shown above) has 10 petals. I quickly cut them down to 9 because I couldn't get 10 to fit like they do in the photos. Even 9 is making them overlap each other here & there.
Everything is from leftover fabrics...except maybe the solid white background. Still trying to use up scraps as much as I can.
I have a Robert Kaufman " See How They Grow" panel that I want to quilt next; it'll be sent to the parents of my due-to-be-born-in- the-Spring next great grandson. Will share photo after its quilted and when I have better light.
My leg is slowly healing from surgery. It hasn't been as rough as I feared, but it's still uncomfortable. It hasn't even been two weeks and everyone says I'm way ahead of others who have gone through the same surgery, but I want it done with NOW! I'm tired of my son having to drive me everywhere ( I don't mind him walking the dog twice a day in this frigid weather, though). Can you tell that patience is not one of my virtues? :)
Take care
Stay warm
