Catching up

I haven't done a whole lot since my last post; p.t. and recovery from the surgery seem to take up most of my days...that and napping!
On Jan.9th, I did finish one top...
and then went on and made this cute little mug rug...
But then there was a 'desert' of nothingness.  Well, except for some hand stitching with some of the guild members one afternoon. I was only able to stitch for a couple of hours because arthritis is now attacking my fingers and making life difficult at times.  These hexies are not sewn together in the photo...that is my layout so I know what goes where next.  After these are all sewn together,, they will be hand appliqued onto a backing that will have hand embroidery all around the outer edges..  This is from an online class that I took just before the holidays.
When I finally felt ready to load something on to M'oe and see if my legs would cooperate.
They did!  I only did about a third of the quilting the first try, but the next day I  was able to finish the quilting...then the trimming and binding on the third day.  All without any real pain YAY!
This is for my great grandson who is due this Spring.
Today, I decided that I'd better get on the ball and start working on my RSC2022... I already had the pattern picked out...just needed to see what I had in my stash that would work...found it!
The birds legs are up a little higher on the chest than they should be...which is why I now wish that I had drawn them first with a frixion pen but decided not to :( .
I still have LOTS of red scraps so I  might just make another one ( or two).
OK, caught up.  Hope to have more to share and more often..
Stay warm and safe!

What to work on next

I finished the two gift quilts - and both have been delivered to a parent of the little girl recipient. I have the requested photo from one...
