Even Slower Today

I got the Pineapple Blossom quilt top loaded onto Mo'e and started quilting it.... six rows of six blocks each.  I finished two rows today.  It's not a complicated pattern, but I was having problems here and there... partly paying attention to where I'm going - sometimes overshot my mark and had to stop and rip out stitches.

Then there was a problem with the bobbin thread/stitches.  It was a little problem here... another problem there... and it wasn't always the same problem.  I had a couple of inches where the top thread just didn't pick up the bobbin thread.  This was all in the first row so I decided I'd put in a new needle before starting on the next row and see if that was the problem - and it appears to be... I haven't caught any more problems YET.

I also wonder if part of the problem might be the fabric I'm using for the backing.  It was some that was donated to our guild's charity 'stash'; it seems ok, but is kind of on the "Walmart clearance bin" type of fabric.

I'll get a better look tomorrow when I row on to the next row.

That was it quilting wise today.... maybe I'll get more done tomorrow, but I'm sure it won't be done in time to take to guild meeting; it will have to wait til next week.
