Before that happened, I was searching in my room for 'something' I don't remember what, but I found the kit for this cute little pincushion and, after cutting it out, stitched it up while talking on the phone with my friend, Marnie. The bottom piece that came with it didn't fit, but I had some green that was almost an exact match color wise and cut a larger piece... wham bam and Bob's your uncle :)
The quilting on the star quilt is definitely not an all over edge to edge... it's definitely a 'custom' job. I'm trying to recreate the patterns used in the photograph of the quilt. I did have a 'boo boo' ( well, more than one, but I took most out and redid); this one is staying in - most people won't even notice/know it.
I'm hoping to have it done in time to take to guild meeting tomorrow night - if it's not, there's always next week - not going to stress over it. I just want to enjoy the experience.
Got this card in the mail the other day - along with a form to subscribe to a magazine... tossed the form out but HAD to keep the pic cuz it's just so stinkin' cute ( to me anyway).
