Guess who forgot to post a blog last night

I don't know how it slipped my mind... obviously that 'thing' about doing something for thirty days in a row will make it a habit doesn't make it so for me.  lol

I was very busy yesterday.  My plan was to just go in and CLEAN my sewing room.  Well, there was some teal(ish) print fabric laying right there waiting to be taken care of...and since teal/turquoise are the RSC color this month I figured I'd just go ahead and 'take care' of the fabric by using it for my blocks.

3 done and 1 more fox to go...

and it wasn't all that easy....thank goodness I caught this in time to fix it...
it was stitched but I hadn't trimmed the seam so it was easy enough to unstitch and sew it on the right way.

Also while 'cleaning' I came across half square triangle blocks that were cut offs from the pinwheels I made for the Chubby Chicks ( see previous post) and I decided to use them right now instead of putting them away for another day.  I had enough to make 17 pinwheel blocks, but only made 16 ....
I used up most of the leftover green fabric and some other 'blocks' of green & chicken wire print for the backing
I still have a few scraps left ( small squares and the remaining half squares for the remaining pinwheel block) and have decided to just keep them in the plastic bag with the other chicken and chicken wire print scraps.  There just might be another doll size quilt in the future :).

Oh, and this is how I quilted the doll quilt... ala Angela Walters .... it's really all this little quilt ( approximately 20" x 20") really needed.
Ok, there's last night's post... now for today, I'm not sure what I'll be doing... probably some more 'cleaning'... it really, really needs it....I normally don't mind my sewing room being a little messy but there's a point where cleaning is necessary for me to function... there are just too many distractions for to be able to focus - and for me to find what I'm looking for ( those who know me know that I 'lose' things on a regular basis).

Enough stalling... time to get in there and at least make my fourth fox for this month's RSC challenge.  I have some dogs and bunnies that need my attention, too, but not sure today will be the day for them.

take care... enjoy your Sunday

ttyl ( tonight if don't forget)

What to work on next

I finished the two gift quilts - and both have been delivered to a parent of the little girl recipient. I have the requested photo from one...
