Just a bit

Thanks to some medical issues not related to that nasty COVID-19 that's crippling our country, I haven't felt much like doing anything.  Back and leg pains have made it almost impossible to sleep through the night (or any of the daytime either).

I have managed to make this two hot pads... from fabrics left over from the Amish with a Twist 3 that I finished last year and oldest daughter has already put dibs on.  There was quite a bit of fabric left over and I wanted to try this paper pieced pattern... started the first one Sunday afternoon and finished it last night.  The second one, I made this afternoon.  I even HAND STITCHED the binding to the backs AND hand stitched the label, too.  I wasn't going to put a label on it, but since it has metal in the batting, I thought I'd better add a reminder that it's not to used in the microwave.

If I'm feeling up to it tomorrow, I think I'll make matching bowl cozies to go with these.  Well, the colors will match... Thought about making placemats with flying geese down one side, but that would involve more math than I'm up to right now... maybe later.

Ok, that's it for me.

take care....
STAY SAFE...
