I'm later than usual posting here because I started working early this morning. I finished the froggie quilt!! Well, except for trimming, binding & label.
Here it is on the frame just before I took it off...
I used Golden Threads paper to do an edge to edge design and then used my wavy ruler to do a line between each row of the design. This is my first time using the paper for more than one block... it works pretty good - I had hoped to use it with my chalk pounce, but the darkest color I have is blue and it just didn't show up on the green, so I just pinned the paper on and went for it.
Actually, before I started, I traced the design onto one length of the paper and then pinned two more lengths under that one and then 'stitched' the design ( without thread) on my domestic. It was kind of hard to see the needle holes on the bottom two pages, but by the time I got to them I pretty much knew what I was doing and just did the best I could. It's not perfect, but nothing I make ever is.
Probably embroidery will be all I'll be doing later tonight - IF I get this quilt trimmed & bound. Tomorrow, I'll get the backing together for the QOV quilt and get that loaded onto Mo'e. I plan on mailing both quilts out on Friday, so hope I can get both done in time - should be possible.
Going to sit back for a few minutes and tear out the rest of the paper on this quilt....
