Sorry about the photo being a little fuzzy - not sure what happened. I can't remember if I mentioned the yard & a half of fabric that was in with this BOM, but it was something I had bought back in Sept.... and no where near enough to use for the backing for this quilt but I really wanted to use it. I went online to see what I could find and found something close but not quite the same on fabric.com... then I saw something that led me to amazon.com ( the owners of fabric.com from what I understand) and, lo and behold, there was the exact fabric that I was looking for. I quickly ordered three yards for not a bad price - it is scheduled to be here on Monday.
I can see in the photo that the outer borders are gently waving at me - how rude! - but it's not too bad so I think I can tame them into submission with steam and starch once I get it onto Mo'e.
There was a fat quarter kit with a panel ( all in flannelette) right by my elbow as I was finishing up the borders on the above quilt. So, yep, I've already started on a new project. I'm thinking that I can make a simple baby quilt... won't be too big - hopefully about 45" x 45". I'm taking the panel and cutting it into 9 1/4" squares to go with the nine patches I'm making from some of the fat quarters. Tomorrow, I need to take the finished quilt top down so that I can put the nine patches and panel squares up there and figure out how to make it work like I want it to. Actually, I bought two of the kits so if I need to, I can get into the other one. No photos yet, but there should be some tomorrow when it's actually FRIDAY. In the meantime, just think of cute little forest animals... bunnies, bears, deer...
take care...
ttyl....
