There's not much to report tonight... and definitely no photos to share. The 'easy' part of assembling the current WIP/UFO is turning out not to be as easy as it should be. A couple of the blocks were cut to the size required, but then were too big to fit in with the other blocks so I've had to do some unstitching ( blanket/buttonhole stitch no less) and trimming on this side and then the other side... I'm getting there but not as quickly as I had thought/hoped.
Another 'problem' was that I forgot that there's a sign that's supposed to hang over the wagon of pumpkins... and the lettering ( pumpkins for sale) was supposed to be embroidered... uh uh... tried it on practice piece - nope, BADDD looking. Tested another piece with machine satin stitching - nope, not what I wanted. So, think think think... PAINT! I painted it... and because it was white paint on a darker background, I ended up having to paint about three times. Much better! - not perfect, but better.
Tomorrow, I hope to get a little further in completing the top... I think there are two borders that will need some fineguling since that's what I had to do with the blocks.
Today was the first day this week that I haven't had to leave the house for one reason or another... I'll be making another run over to Walmart for ANOTHER script either tomorrow or Friday. It's going to be a fast trip - too cold to be putzing around outside.
take care....
