Short Saturday Post

Besides being cold, I'm not feeling all that good today.  I battled through 'it' though and got a couple of things done and off my mental list.
I must have taken this picture last week after I finished the quilting; yesterday, I finished hand stitching the binding on ( yeah, I goofed and stitched the front down first - it happens)
Yesterday, I cut the snowflakes out and then stitched them to the blocks before joining the blocks together.  Today, I loaded it onto Mo'e and quilted it.  I'm sure it took longer to load it onto Mo'e than to actually quilt it.  I just did 'loops' around the snowflakes - that's all it really needed.  Put the binding on ( back of quilt first this time - fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me) and also added label and a 1/4" wide fabric strip for the hanger.

Next up was this zebra.... and I couldn't just use one layer of batting - oh no, I had to add a scrap of wool batting on top of the 'normal' batting scrap.  Oh my! What did I get myself in to!?!?  I've layered wool batting over 'normal' batting before and didn't have any problems, but this time, it seemed to be just too 'poofy' and my foot was catching on it ( even after I raised the foot a bit).  It's not perfect, but it's done and I'm good with that.  Label AND hanging sleeve on the back.

and that's it.... I'm going to bed

take care...
ttyl....  STAY WARM
